Kitex Digital ("we", "us") is a web studio based in Ontario, Canada. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit this site or get in touch, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Kitex Digital is a sole proprietorship operating from Ontario, Canada. The person accountable for privacy at Kitex Digital is the owner, who you can reach at intro@choosekitex.com with any question about your information.
What we collect
We only collect information in two situations:
- When you contact us. If you fill in our project form or email us, we receive what you send: your name, email, and optionally your business name, phone number, and message. We use this only to reply to you and discuss your project.
- Basic website analytics. If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site (pages viewed, rough location, device type). This is aggregated and helps us improve the site. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
We do not ask for or store sensitive information, and we never collect payment details on this site.
Cookies and analytics
This site loads no analytics cookies until you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner. Analytics is off by default for every visitor. You can decline at any time and the site works exactly the same. Clearing your browser's site data resets your choice.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, ever. A few trusted services process data on our behalf so the site can run:
- Web3Forms delivers our contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Analytics provides the anonymous usage stats described above (only with your consent).
- Cal.com powers the optional "book a call" scheduler, if you use it.
- Vercel hosts the website.
Each processes only what is needed for its function. Some of these providers (such as Google, Web3Forms, and Vercel) are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of that country. We only work with established providers that handle data responsibly.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to help you and maintain our records, then remove them. Analytics data is retained by Google for a limited period under our account settings.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent for analytics at any time by declining cookies or clearing your browser data. Email intro@choosekitex.com and we will action it promptly. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we follow sensible security practices. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the little information we hold.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
